Sunday’s Message: “Biblical Compassion, Pt. 2”

CompassionWordCloudThere’s a curious teaching of Jesus in Matthew 25, vv. 31–46. Here, Jesus teaches about judgment using a pseudo-parable. The thing is that in this passage, Jesus emphasizes that a valid, “saving” faith results in the saved actually acting upon their faith. Specifically, he cites acts of compassion as the criteria the King uses for his judgment.

This message is a look at the absolute need there is for God’s people to be tender-hearted and compassionate.

Sunday’s Message: “Not Just Spinning Your Wheels”

We often think that our lives are our own, but if we’ve been rescued, forgiven & redeemed by Jesus, then our lives really belong to God. This message challenges us to answer the question, “What are you doing for God with your life?”

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

— Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
