This coming Sunday, October 13, First Christian Church of Newport is hosting a screening of The Pink Room, a documentary about sex trafficking in SE Asia and what some organizations are doing about it. The screening will be held at 6:30pm and admission is free. We invite everyone to come and be challenged to care and to do something about this atrocity that is going on all over the world right now. Check out these links for more information:
Agape International Missions is working in Svay Pak, Cambodia (a village just outside of the capitol, Phnom Penh) to provide jobs, educate children & adults, and restore girls who have been freed from sex slavery.
International Justice Mission is working to free trafficked people all over the world.
3StrandsGlobal imports and distributes bracelets made by the rescued girls in Cambodia. We will offer 3Strands bracelets for sale at the screening on Sunday. All profits from the sales will go directly to AIM to fight trafficking and restore trafficked children.
