Sunday’s Message: “The Real New Year”

Although our New Year begins on January 1, in many ways the transition from Summer to Fall is a better time to celebrate the new year. Coincidentally, the Jewish New Year, called Rosh Hashanah (the Feast of Trumpets in the Old Testament) also comes in the Fall. The Feast of Trumpets was intended to be a time of introspection, repentance and rededication. As we go from Summer to Fall, couldn’t we use a time to focus on God and His presence in our lives?
