Sunday’s message: Mind Your Vineyard

When I was growing up, my grandfather had a vineyard. He had 5 acres of grapes that were sold to Welch’s every year at harvest time. I don’t know a lot about growing grapes, but I do remember that my grandfather worked in his vineyard nearly every day for about two-thirds of the year. It wasn’t his main job, just a side-job. Still, he kept right at it.

The writer of Proverbs 24 likens our lives to a vineyard. He talks about seeing the vineyard of a lazy, neglectful person. Such neglect is a waste and a shame.

What “vineyard” are you maybe neglecting in your life?
